Sound familiar?

The phone shouldn’t be what takes up most of your time

This is what repair shops tell us, and what changes from day one.

Every call interrupts your work

You put the tool down, wipe your hands, answer — and then pick up again where you left off. And if two people call at once, one of them is left waiting.

With Pitline: She answers, all of them at once, without you putting down your spanner.

Out of hours, those calls are lost for good

Someone who calls at eight in the evening won’t try again at nine the next morning: they call the shop next door.

With Pitline: She answers at any time, including Saturdays and bank holidays.

Appointments are juggled by hand

A paper diary, loose notes or WhatsApp. Matching up times and avoiding double bookings eats into your day, every day.

With Pitline: She checks your diary in real time and books the appointment, with no clashes.

"How’s my car getting on?"

Customers who call just to ask how their repair is going. Time you’re not spending on repairs.

With Pitline: She lets them know by SMS when the car is ready, and answers if they ask.

She also answers questions about your services and opening hours, and recognises returning customers — she knows which car they have and what you did to it last time, without them having to explain it again.

How it works

From the call to the SMS, without the hassle

Here’s the whole process, step by step — you confirm with one click, the AI does the rest.

1

The customer calls

On your usual number. The AI receptionist answers straight away — no voicemail, no endless ringing. She speaks Spanish and English: Laura answers in the caller’s language.

2

She understands what they need

If they ask about a service, she answers with your shop’s information. If they want an appointment, she asks for the licence plate and the problem, and checks your diary in real time.

3

You confirm, the customer knows straight away

The appointment waits in your dashboard. As soon as you confirm it with one click, the customer gets an SMS with the confirmed date, time and service.

4

She lets them know when the car is ready

As soon as you mark the repair as finished in the app, the customer gets an SMS straight away — without you having to call them.

What your customer receives

No apps to install, nothing to sign up for — a normal SMS, to their usual number.

Your data

Your data and your customers’ data, protected

The shop owns its data. Pitline only uses it to look after your customers and provide you with the service. All the details are in the privacy policy (in Spanish).

  • In the European Union and encrypted

Your calls, customers and cars are stored encrypted on servers in Ireland, and are encrypted in transit.

  • Each shop sees only its own data

No other shop can access your calls, your customers or your cars.

  • Customers are informed

At the start of every call, Laura tells the caller that it may be recorded and how their data is handled, in line with the GDPR.

  • Your card, with Stripe

Payment details are stored by Stripe. They never go through our servers.

  • They don’t train any AI

Your shop’s conversations are not used to train artificial intelligence models.

  • Delete them whenever you like

Ask us to delete your data or a customer’s data and we delete it.

Frequently asked questions

What repair shops usually ask

Is it legal for the AI to record and handle calls?

Yes. At the start of every call the caller is told that the conversation may be recorded and is asked for explicit consent, in compliance with the GDPR. Data is handled in line with our privacy policy and is only used to deal with the customer’s enquiry.

How do you protect my data and my customers’ data?

It is stored encrypted on servers in the European Union (Ireland), and each shop only sees its own data. Laura informs the customer at the start of the call, payment details are stored by Stripe and conversations are not used to train any artificial intelligence. If you want us to delete your data or a customer’s data, just ask and we delete it.

What happens if the AI doesn’t know the answer?

She is trained to recognise her limits: if the enquiry goes beyond what she can handle, she takes the customer’s details and you get in touch with them directly. She never makes up information about prices or availability that she doesn’t have.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. The AI receptionist answers on your current number — we just forward the calls to the system. Your customers won’t notice any change, except that they no longer get your voicemail.

How long does it take to get up and running?

No time at all. You start the free trial with your opening hours and your services, the agent sets itself up and you get an SMS with the number to forward your phone to. She answers from the very first forwarded call.

Does it work with any phone number?

For now the service is only available for shops and customers with a Spanish phone number (+34). If your shop operates outside Spain, write to us and we’ll let you know when we expand.

Does Laura speak English?

Yes. She speaks Spanish and English: Laura answers in the caller’s language.

Can she tell customers how their car is going?

Yes. When a customer asks about their vehicle, Laura looks up the licence plate and reads them the note the shop has left on the record (“waiting for the part”, “ready to collect”…). If there’s no note, she takes a message and lets you know so you can call them.

What if it’s an emergency or the customer wants to speak to a person?

She alerts you on your mobile straight away so you can call them back. If your shop does roadside assistance, emergencies can go straight through to the on-call mobile, and you can choose numbers that always go straight through.

Does it work for truck, motorbike or car electronics shops?

Yes: it’s already used by car electronics shops, general mechanics and truck repair shops with 24-hour roadside assistance. It’s set up with your shop’s services and can tell whether the caller is a private customer or another shop.

Does she answer on WhatsApp too?

Yes. Laura replies to customers who write to your shop’s WhatsApp, understands voice notes and photos, and stays quiet as soon as you reply from your mobile. She never writes first or sends advertising.

Do I have to change my workshop management software?

No. Pitline integrates with your management software or ERP, as long as it has an integration API, so appointments and customer details don’t have to be copied across by hand. And if it doesn’t, it works just as well alongside it: Laura handles the phone and WhatsApp and books appointments, while invoicing and stock stay in your software.

How much does it cost?

The Taller plan costs €149/month + VAT (Laura on the phone, 250 minutes), Taller Completo €199/month + VAT (phone and WhatsApp) and Taller Plus €299/month + VAT (more volume plus vehicle lookup by plate). No setup fee, no lock-in, and a 7-day free trial. Full details at pitline.io/precios (in Spanish).
